About

The Proclus Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the study, preservation, and renewal of classical Greek philosophy, language, and art. Inspired by the Platonic tradition, we seek to cultivate a rigorous and transformative engagement with the intellectual and cultural heritage of the Ancient Greek world.

We offer immersive courses in Ancient Greek, close study of Plato and later Platonic thinkers in the original language, philosophical workshops, and art instruction grounded in classical techniques and aesthetics. Through disciplined study and creative practice, students engage directly with foundational texts and artistic forms that have shaped Western thought and culture.

As a nonprofit organization, we are supported by voluntary donations and membership contributions that sustain our educational programs, library development, scholarships, publications, and cultural initiatives. We also provide books, courses, and educational materials designed to make the classical tradition accessible to contemporary learners.

Our mission is to foster intellectually serious, culturally rooted, and personally transformative encounters with the enduring wisdom and artistic legacy of the Ancient Greek tradition.
